Kenobi turned two today. And we celebrated with a puppy cannoli. He is seriously the best dog. So in honor of him putting up with us for two years here is a list of the ten best things about him.
1) He is always, always, always ridiculously excited to see us come home no matter if we've been gone 5 minutes or 8 hours.
2) He is super adorable when he jumps in my lap, pushes my book out of the way, and gives me an "okay mommy, I'll "allow" you to pet me now" look.
3) He was the easiest puppy to potty train. He had maybe 3 accidents in the house and hasn't had a problem since.
4) At the dog park, he'll run away to play with the other puppies, but he'll always look over his shoulder to make sure we're still there.
5) He loves babies. Obviously we don't have one yet, but every friend that has ever brought a small child over, Kenobi has fallen in love with. Every time he hears them make a sound he has to check to make sure they're okay.
6) He's an excellent guard dog. He can literally hear a twig snap outside and he'll let you know it. Not that that's always a positive (especially in the middle of the night), but we'll count it as a merit!
7) Whenever I'm sick, if daddy tells him to take care of me, he'll literally lay by my side all day in silence and cuddle.
8) Oh yeah, he loves to cuddle! As often as possible.
9) He loves Star Wars. If it's on TV, he will literally sit there staring at the TV until it's over.
10) He lets me dress him in t-shirts in the winter (holy crap, he's super cute) and he won't get mad or try to bite it off.
See? My dog is awesome!
